I had a problem a couple of years back when my charge light would come on,
it eventually kept fusing out the fuse wire for the alternator, the auto
sparky said a crook diuode could do that, its not nice when in traffic and
the car stops and a heap of smoke pours out of the bonnet.  New Alternator
fixed it though : )
