hey people,

After putting my L20B in to my 1600 i am struggling with the wiring to get it running
:(
I did have it running for a short while, but now when you turn the key the starter
motor cog wont pop out into the flywheel housing and spin, instead it just keeps
popping in and out quickly.
If you take the starter off the engine and then turn the key you can see that the cog
doesn't pop out and stay out, it just keeps ticking in and out.
I am fairly baffled, as it was running fine and now this! I even put a different
starter on and it did the same thing!
Any suggestions would be great!

Also, i have a alternator with a built in regulator and my wiring diagram shows a
seperate regulator.
At the moment i only have 2 wires connected to the alternator,
- one from D+ on the alternator to the positive terminal on the starter,
- and another from the screw in the back of the alternator to earth.

i am just curious whether i should have something else connected and also that what i
have connected so far is right??

Sorry for the very long post, but i am just really keen to get my car back on the road
:)

Thanks to anyone who can help me out with my wiring troubles,

Mark.
