Mark,

What sort of alternator are you running - I only recall seeing D+ & D-
connections on Delco (GM) alternators but I guess there are others, don't
think I've seen a Hitachi with them though.

The Indicator wire at the Alternator on an Aussie 1600 is Yellow and it
connects into a plug on the drivers side strut tower just behind the stock
battery position. The Indicator wire changes colour at that plug to
White/Red trace just to fool everyone.

regards
Terry

Thanks for the reply Mark,

but do you have any idea what colour/guage wire i should be looking for that
comes from the dash warning light? Also, where on the alternator does it
hook up to? I have three places, D+, D-, and the screw connected to the alt
housing.
If the wire from the screw in the back isn't meant to go to earth then where
should it go?

Sorry about all the questions but i am lost!

Thanks heaps!

Mark.
