some wires appear to be an earth, but are actually switched, so that when an
accerssory (commonly lights) are switched on they become live. This may
cause the fuse for the lights to blow, but the deck will still run as it is
also earthed through the radio antenna. Disconnect the earth and see if it
runs, or better yet, sink an earth straight to the chassis.
