Hey Ross, Unfortunately my friend is following up another lead on getting 200B struts and brakes for his 1200, because if he goes ahead with this it will save him more money in the long run.... (he's looking at buying this other 1200 to wreck that has a strong diff with discs too etc etc) so at this stage we won't be coming around to get the stanza struts :( Sorry about this, but we didn't know about it until today... Maybe the dash ilumination circuit earthed through the radio somehow and you have now changed that inadvertently?
Can you plug in the old deck temporarily to see that things still do work, this will at least eliminate any blown fuse/circuit breaker theorys (or confimr them?) And you may be able to see whats going on with the lights?Ross G

On the fuse panel i couldn't find a fuse just for the parkers, but i checked the stop fuse and a few others that i thought could have included the parkers and they were all fine.... It has come to the point were i think i may run a new 12volts straight to the battery, and a new earth to the chassis, and tap into the acc power from the cigarette lighter or something like that... Do you think this would solve the problem??
If so, what should i then do with the power earth and acc power wires that went to the original stereo? just tape them up?? or would the earth need to be connected to something to get the parkers going again?
