*Sigh* you can't compare referb Macs to NEW PCs, not fair. A 5 year old Dell Precision laptop will bring nearly as much as a Mac though Mac prices are artificially high because of fanboys. If you think all Windows machines are crap its almost certainly because you've never used a GOOD PC.
The W123 of the computer world right now is the HP xw8200. Super reliable and built like a brick outhouse. The comparable (meaning same time frame) G5 Mac doesn't hardly exist because they had liquid cooling and they've pretty much all leaked by now. I expect it to last a long time. One thing when comparing Mac machines to "PC" machines is to factor in the useful life. Macs are the 123 300D/300TD of the computer world. Usefull service life is ~ five years as opposed to ~3 years for the "PC." a 5 year old powerbook still brings around $500 used. > The cheapest Mac now starts at $1200 you should use that as your guide. > >-Curt _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
