Or you can just live with it. Light is simply a timer which estimates the required glow time, relay keeps providing power until it reaches the safety time out or you start the engine.

The light is hooked to a temperature-sensitive timer.
Caps in the timer can age and fail, as could, I suppose,
the thermistor.  You'd be diving into the GP relay to
do component tests to diagnose it at that level.
