BTW, SWMBO and I have been driving MB Diesels for 32 years; several months
ago, we had just gotten into one of the cars, and as I was starting it, I
said something about the glow light - either it was a bit short or a bit
long - 'don't remember. SWMBO asked, "What glow light?" I replied, "That
little yellow light right there at the far, lower right corner of the
instrument cluster - the one you were supposed to have been using for the
last 32 years." She replied, "Oh, I just wait for the buzzer to quit."
'Must've been talking about the belt buzzer. I replied, "Well, I guess
that's been working pretty good for it, too. 'Just so you don't start
grinding on the starter immediately as you insert the key." She doesn't.
