Aha!  I'm not the only one!  I have always thought of the seatbelt
buzzer as the "glow buzzer."  Waiting to crank until it stops
guarantees a good long glow, and, as has been noted, you don't have to
worry about whether the "logic" in the relay that determines how long
to turn on the idiot light is working correctly.
