Liquid LP boils around -44F, so it has to be pretty darned cold for it not to vaporize, or vaporize slowly....

Indeed.  If the block coolant hasn't frozen the engine should
at least be able to perform at no load, and it wouldn't take long
for the engine heat to start to come up.  Remember, the IMPCO
(etc.) is liquid-heated, and anything non-frozen still has a
lot of heat in it, and there's a fair amount of liquid there
in the engine to sap.

It's not like my poor turkey fryer, where on cold windy days
I have to practically park the 5-gallon tank in the flames
to keep it boiling nicely!
