Phooey! My 240D regularly sits right at 80mph for 10-15 minutes at a time. There is no reason it shouldn't. If your car can't its because you aren't maintaining it properly. High speed runs are the ultimate Italian tune up, high revs and high load. In this case the wind resistance is the high load.
