I saw a graph of total available resources vs earned income for a
single parent, and they needed salary and benefits worth $60k+ to
match their best standard of living from being low income.
So, the programs intended to help the poor are actually programs to
push the poor into staying poor, except for the talented few who can
jump up to the income levels above median.
