I know I've posted this question in the past, but maybe it bears repeating. What about a dealer auction car? Do you know anyone who has a dealers license and would be willing to purchase a vehicle for you or with you at auction? I know the sentiment is "ewe auction car", because you don't know what you're getting. That said a $99 subscription to Carfax would certainly help. I struggle with paying private owners who think their car is golden, or used car shysters at the buy here, pay here places. Let's face it, those dealers get what they paid for the car at auction in the down payment, and the weekly payment is pure profit. Why not cut out the middle man, perform due, overdue and neglected maintenance, detail it and Bob's your uncle?
