I have a question:
Why do we continue to argue in terms of mailing lists?
Why not switch to a Web forum format instead?
Create a password-protected portal page, with links to N forums. Some
of the forums can be symbiotic with the current mailing lists (i.e.
message sent to a forum is propagated also to the mailing list and vice
versa). Other forums will not be symbiotic.
This is the perfect solution to the splinter mailing lists problem.
What's the difference between a web forum and a mailing list archive,
other than that one requires a web browser and to regularly visit a web page
to participate, and other allows you to choose how to get the information?
If you prefer a forum, just go to
http://mirror.hamakor.org.il/archives/meta/
All people registered to discussions and all registered members can post
to meta, so this is just like a forum, just more flexible.
