Alon, if anything, this proves that the meta list is NOT the place for discussions about assembly issues. The last assembly proved that if we don't reach a concensus before an assembly, we won't reach it DURING the assembly. So discussion among all voting members is very important. This is why I believed assembly@ IS the right mailing list to discuss assembly things is not.
