meta does not mean uninteresting. meta means talking about things that exist not for their own sake, but for another purpose. Hamakor does not have any meaning by its own. The only important thing is what Hamakor and its members/friends do. Any discussion about Hamakor itself is meta, but it does not mean it is not important to some people.
