Fred, you may have joined this convo late, but this process is NOT working. 
When we send in our liscence codes with MiamiRegister nothing happens.

See my previous message.  I don't think it is "over and above".

By this logic, software authors have no right to dictate to me whether or
not I can sell copies of their programs after I have it in my possession. 
(It is not self-evident, but obvious if you follow the implications).  That
is just the other side of the same coin.  

If I purchase software from someone, I own the information, not just any
particular piece of media that it may be residing on.  Making me pay for
something I already own is a rights-infringement (once again, according to
their own premises).  A service charge would be acceptable, if sending the
copy was any work for the vendor--but re-purchasing the product is not
acceptable.  And Holger's method is not supposed to be any work for him.
