Actually, haven't you heard? MicroSplit is going to stop providing CD's at
all. Pretty much across the board. (If you're lucky you'll get one of those
"wipe your hard drive and set it back to "factory" settings CD's, but no
"Windows OS" CD.
Need to reload your OS? (Frequently recommended by MS as a solution to
problems) Replaced your harddrive? Upgraded your motherboard? Too bad...
I'd like to see _any_ kind of customer service from _any_ PC vendor. Oh
sure, if you're the CEO of a fortune 500 company, _maybe_, otherwise, check
the website. Or call tech-support, get put on hold for hours, and then get
charged $19.95 for the chance to talk to some know-nothing, "try this and
then call back" "Tech Support". (not mentioning any names, but ///IOMega///
you can read between the lines.)
And don't even get me started on UTICA. Can you say "remote kill switch".
Ahh, for the "greener" pastures of the PC world, where you get treated like
an individual, not like another cow to take your money from and then ignore
you. (Yeah right -- what world do YOU live in???)
Ok, ok, I'll stop. Holger may be incommunicado, but I'd rather try to hunt
him down than deal with _any_ "PC" company. Not that I've been shafted. No.

Have you written your own real-time OS lately???

If you are smart enough to use one of these.....
.....you can probably manage without one!
