I tried different Zorro-slots and removed the MFC-III. There were
autoconfig-problems of the zorro-bus, but they disappeared after two
or three reboots. When I ping from PC-side, both port-LEDs on the Hub
are flashing and the X-Surf answers the arp-requests. But there opens
a window on PC-side saying "Request timed out". I don�t know then
whether they pings arrived or not.
When I ping from Amiga-side just the LED of the Amiga-port is flashing
and the LED of the pC-port is on constantly. No answers from the PC.

I compared the ends of the three new cables (cat5) I have and they look
the same. I tried all ports of the hub without success.

I didn�t had the chance yet, there is a special pair of tongs
requiered, I don�t have one.
Could it just be that the X-Surf makes the problems? The cables seems
to be ok, the Hub looks good? I thought the same as you with two
different PCs and two different NICs and two different
windoze-versions what rests? The X-Surf and Miami? Or an entry
somewhere in windoze-setup that refuses to answer the requests or a
timeout?
BTW choosing the SANA-II x-surf.device Unit 0 in the Miami-settings,
Miami tells me it cannot open this device. Is this a know problem with
the x-surf.device?
