I bought it two weeks ago, as a mod_perl newbie, and recommend it. I really like the cookbook style: 'You want to XXX' => snippet / recipe. If you already read Perl, it is fast and compact.
I have had questions along the way [specific to the cookbook], but posting a question on this list gets an almost immediate response. Summation: Worth the money - buy it.
