No, buy both at the same time. I think the Eagle gives a really good foundation, and it's very enjoyable reading (regardless of what my wife says!). I still think the Eagle book is one of the best books on my bookshelf. I have a couple of Apache-specific books and I learned a lot more about Apache from the Eagle than those.
