The set up I was referring to is not the Mulberry replacement front end set up. On an early 90's plus 8 you may find if the front springs are 115lbs it is a little soft, but by you should be able dial that out with a pair of good front shocks. You may even find that the setup suits you anyway, so no worries if that is the case.
I lowered mine 1 inch changing the springs at the front to 145lb and lowered the rear 3/4 inch with blocks from mulberry and centred the rear axle and put a pan-hard rod on the axle to stop sideways movement of the axle, and adjustable shocks all round. The ride can be firm with shocks wound up, but on softer settings is reasonably forgiving. I drive on East Devon roads, so surface quality varies from good to appalling on lanes, unevenness and bumps, however my wife says the ride is comfortable and does not complain, she did not like the ride/feel of the car when we first got it. She thought it felt floaty and bouncy and did not feel safe above 50-60mph, no complaints now. Lowering the car is not necessary though, as I said a pair of slightly stiffer front springs if needed, and adjustable shocks all round should do it. I think this would cost about £300-400 plus your labour. So you could start with just a pair of front shocks and see if that does the trick for you, if not then think about the springs, and lastly the rear shocks if you feel you need it. Part of my cars issues when I got it was the shocks were original 16 years old and even though the car had only done 22k miles the shock seals had hardened and as a result they did not provide much damping, how the dealer got it through an MOT I don't know. If you do get one and tackle the front suspension read the articles on the Morgan club about how to do it, it is not hard but you need to be clear on the how as compressed springs can be very dangerous.
