Dear Bard,
Thank you for your reply.
I do not claim have any formal philosophical education, but I did expect a kind of dynamism from these discussions which at least recently have all the quality of filling in a tax return. It is not my intention to upset anyone, my remarks are from the heart. I understand in a philosophical debate certain protocols have to be adhered to, but the language is static, it is the language which has been rejected by society. Persig uses his experiences to illustrate his ideas, and we immediately saw the dynamism in his writing. And that's the key experience.
The books where such a dynamic experience for us we return to them gladly.
Here is someone who nearly lost his sanity because of his conflicting insight who has managed to explain a metaphysical view in words we understand and respect. Is there some way of discussing things which would be of benefit to the people who really need this insight?
Check out the poem on my bio (I'm not the author) its pure dynamic language which cannot fail to touch. I've tried correcting the deliberate grammar and spelling mistakes and it loses something important. Its dynamism.
Thanks
Jeremy
