In my last classroom, there was originally a desktop assigned to exclusive use of teacher. I also had a laptop. Could not see why I needed to have two and turned the desktop over to the kids. So, without a desktop there was even less need for a desk. My computer was in my lap or my bag. I sometimes let kids use it too.
