But, I think this kind of happens automatically. From the top of my mind, I donât really recall a real flamewar ever happening on the MSX Malinglist (though I probably recall wrong ;p).
Well, you actually do remember wrong, but it's always better to remember the nicer things compared to the bad ones.

Anyway, given the number of reaction in the last hour on this message, already clearly shows that people really want the mailing list to stay. And as for .HTML, well.. it can be nice for certain mailings, but I don't see the need for it for this mailing list. Automatic conversion to normal text would be best.
In any case I think it would be a good idea to accept HTML in some form. Be it with plain text alternate version, or automatic conversion, HTML is the default setting for email in some clients, or is possibly explicitly enabled, and one may not always remember to turn it off when writing to the list, currently causing the message to be either delayed, lost, or duplicated (if you write a plain text version afterwards which Wynke doesnât notice).
HTML messages currently require maintainance by Wyncke, and I think the idea is to move away from that :).
