  I had a similar problem with a Toshiba a few weeks ago. Are you shure it is 
hung? after installation mine was incredibly slow to boot up and at one point 
appeared to be hung but if I gave it a miniute or so it would take off again. 
This may not be the case with yours mine was old and slooow 133mhz but
 it may be worth giving it a try.
