If I remove "quiet" from the append line it gives you an even longer and more detailed boot script,which I like, but it doesn't alter the gui nature of the script presentation back to black and white full screen width text that I like so much.

Well to be more accurte it's not so much the black and white text as such, it's the full screen vga791 level of detail that I like so much. I'm not opposed to gui as such , but why cut the width and the vga setting down to narrow width, chunky writing for a normal boot script ?

Anyway I'm still stuck with this squashed up gui boot script that annoys me and I just know there must be a way to alter it ?
