[newbie] Networking

Hi,
 
I Installed Madrake 7.1 last night and want to network it to my other Windows 98 Machine. I dont think that it has detected my network card because it is not listed under hardware configuration. The card is a 3COM 3c509x Combo card and is ISA. Is there something I need to do to get it to detect the card?
