Newcastle Chronicle reports that the Geordies have put in a bid close to £10m - which 
of course is good PR for the Cry-Babies after a Euro defeat.

That Newcastle have put in a £10m bid for Andrew Cole. Utd officials are all away for 
the Euro draw anyway but can't see the player going back whatever happens - after not 
really taking to the Geordie culture, his family getting abused up there at a game - 
would he really go back?
