RED NEWS responds:
Be fair - everyone's got to earn a crust. The costs of running the site are pretty
substantial now due to the high volume of traffic resulting in webhosting bandwidth
charges. On top of that - if you work out how much time we spend gathering and writing
the news alone - every single day - 365 days a year ... well its errr .... a lot. At
the moment we are not even working for nothing - we are paying for the privilege.
Obviously that can't go on indefinitely so we've taken some selected ads ...

If people were happy to pay a small annual subscription for "ad free" services it
wouldn't be a problem - some are and maybe we'll look at that. But for those who want
it for free, well, just a few ads - and they are good ones mostly - doesn't hurt does
it? A little bit of support from our punters would be nice. For example if you're
buying Xmas presents etc then using our links (e.g. Amazon) costs you nothing but
elicits a response close to sexual arousal in our editor and his bank manager.

PS. When was the last time you saw an advert from MUFC P.L.C. for
