And indeed that's what's being planned with the JDS consolidation now. We're going to try and juggle our current commitments getting the next version of JDS into Solaris, but also keep tracking the community and providing a set of good quality packages through their set of 6 monthly releases. There's absolutely no reason why this can't be done as part of a bigger initiative of having a permanent set of testing/unstable/stable branches though [1].
