Hello All,
I'm looking at a couple of monitors for use with a 9600 box (and a B&W G3,
too) and am wondering if anyone has experience with:
Radius Precision Real
or
Sony Multiscan 220GS
I assume the Radius is an older monitor. Just as a data point is/was Radius
an OEM, or did they follow the time-honored practice of shlepping their own
label on someone else's equipment?
Radius put their own label on. Frequently, iirc, they used Sony tubes. But, more importantly, what is the picture like? I would NOT buy a used monitor without doing all the visual checks. That is more important than any referrals from list members.
FWIW, I have a Radius Multiview 21 that I am using for Cadd work. Everything is sharp, clear and in focus. It also has very good color rendition. But when I am in the cadd program with a white background, the burned in win 2000 login screen is obvious. Since I am only doing B&W on it, I can live with the burn in to get the sharpness and screen real estate that it provides me.
Decide what trade offs you can put up with and trust your eyes.
