Well, distinctive Pentax design hasn't done much to get them widespread popularity so far to date, as is pretty obvious by the fact that unique AF cameras like the Z-1p and MZ-5n never sold as well as their N/C competition, and probably irritated or intimidated more people than they attracted. As far as I'm concerned, if Pentax wants to take a page from Nikon's book and design their DSLR similar to the best-selling and hugely popular F80, I'm all for it. Evidently people like that design. The final goal has to be to make money by selling cameras, not to come up with unique designs that only a few people buy. chris
