On the ZX-M you can keep the camera switch "ON" all of the time, and the
only addl' power it uses will be to display only a few more tiny numbers on
the lcd panel. And since this panel is always on anyway to indicate the
number of exposures (even when the camera switch is set to "off"),  the
power waste here should be negligible. But of course one must then be extra
careful not to accidentally hit the shutter release button...

Does anyone know if this hold true for the other ZX/MZ series cameras too?
(Or does the autofocus option on them draw more power, in this instance?)
