I have not heard anything about canned gas this side of the world. Interviewing, a local technician (remember those things are built here...), the thing to worry about is the mirror crashing down on you while you're wiping the sensor because the battery died. They mention, as a rule, that they have an AC adapter to make sure that does not happened.
