My K-5 has now recorded 16,000 frames and has never failed me. It's far better
than my previous K-7 and its predecessors, most of which I owned.

In my work for a variety of Sunday-supplement style magazines, I frequently get
packages of photos from their staff photographers. Some shoot with Nikons, some
with Canons. A lot of them use the Canon 5D Mark II. I have yet to see any real
world results that are the equal of what I can produce with the K-5 and DA*
lenses in terms of shadow noise and detail rendering.

I've always looked forward to new Pentax releases, in the hope that they would
solve some things I saw as deficiencies. At this point, I'm not even thinking
about it. I'm a happy camper. Don't pay any attention to the lunatic fringe.
