I can't recall at the moment what exactly I ran into but Software Arcs did cause me a problem at one point. Since then I never turn them on. (Haven't seen the problem again so I have forgotten what the precise problem was.)

I'd expect no problem if software arcs are used, since "software arcs" are plotted with a series of draws, whereas gerber arcs use the arc plotting command. What I don't recall is if the original gerber standard allowed arcs at all, I forget. Definitely, though, this is a 99SE bug (and it may have existed before 99SE). It's nice to have the ability to support that ancient photoplotter in the dark recesses of the basement, but .... arc commands should have been properly rendered. If they are not allowed in the old standard, then the user should, at least, have been warned. Ah well, water under the bridge. Question is, has this issue been addressed in DXP et seq? ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
