There seems to be a difference of opinion on that one. In an earlier

I was not a beta tester so I do not know personally how long the testing
lasted. But I do know that when DXP2004 came out after over a year of
testing (as claimed by Altium) the first SP was out really fast and it
included some extremely rudimentary things that left you scratching your
head about the actual extent of testing.

It is also hard to ignore the fact that the program was released without
much prior notice just a few weeks before the end of the year and was
the basis of a high pressure "buy it now or the prices will go up"
campaign. Was the release date based on the software being stable or
was it based on the software being stable enough to be released for
making the quarter look better?

All that said, I am certainly willing to take notice of the first hand
experience of list members that have been around for a while.

Regards,

Hamid
