Well I have tried deleting all the other layers and now have just Mechanical Layer 1 which has a border on it and Top Overlay which has some circles on it just to keep something in view.
If I Print Preview (PP) with Layer 1 on the board moves up the page. If PP with Layer 1 off the board blows out to fill the page. This also happens with my original board. Not sure what (or how) I can do now to find what is `on' this layer but it is DEFINITELY nothing to do with Component Footprints, Designators (hidden or otherwise) nor Comments (hidden or otherwise). Anyone have any suggestions. I can post a copy of the board on my website if anyone thinks they might be able to do something with it. Delete the layer and it went away. Okay, you demonstrated that the problem was on Mech 1. If you delete everything else from the problem board, leaving only Mech 1, you could then look at lists of *all* remaining primitives, or save the file in ASCII format and look for illegal coordinates. Usually the easy way is to Select All, the deselect Inside. I think you want to make sure that when you deselect Inside, you do not have Protel set to consider as "Inside" anything with a primitive inside, but only objects that are entirely inside (as I recall, there is an option). But it may not be worth the effort. ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
