I haven't been following this post but I'll quickly describe a trick that usually works for me, I find that quite often the culprit is a component comment gone astray, especially since I have mine always set to hide, so when I have a problem like this where the board won't center on the page I unhide all component comments using global edit, then make sure that the comment is set to autoposition center and then hide all comments again using global edit, if you then load the board in print preview everything usually works fine now.
