Hi Tyrael,
The Spanish translation was 5 years old when I restarted the project. That
was almost a year ago. This is how I did it: we moved all the files to a
Branch and we started from scratch. We recovered some of the files: you can
create an script to do a Diff and make a list of the files with minimal
differences and start a fresh Trunk updating and adding these files first...
But you are going to need help, a lots of it. Translating more than 9.500
files is a serious work. I sent an E-Mail to every single PHP maillist and
forum I found in Spanish to recrute people and they started to join the
project. To speed up the process I created an small HOWTO and I forwarded it
to all the people interested. But still, is hard to keep the people
interested for a long time. I recently had a talk about the project in the
PHP Barcelona conference and some new people joined... I'm always looking
for new people interested!
