Basically playing live stream on DASH,.
Live DASH is a format which is a playlist of 6 sec file each with a timestamp. DASH stream can be paused and they can stay paused of up to 3 hours. So if you have a "pause" setting and then resume - the stream will try to continue when it left off (i.e. pause for 2 hours and it will play the stream as it was 2 hours ago) - is that your intent ? The DASH has been written so that if stream are paused for more than 3 hours - they will start again from "live" as if no pause. I think this may be the problem - after pausing and then waking up, the stream is trying to continue playing the stream at the time of the pause. I have tested long pauses (> 3 hrs) on a Linux system and it worked OK. However on your system it may be trying to play DASH chunk with a very old timestamp and so no longer exist. However the fact the pause fails for sleeps of less than 3 hours make this unlikely. A couple of workaround in the interim: 1. Change the Player/Audio setting to "Stop on Power off / "Restart Playlist at power up" or "Stop on Power off / "Reset Playlist at power up" - however these settings may not be acceptable to you for other stations etc. 2. Try HLS or MP3 streams. Both now have same metadata, HLS has same audio quality as DASH. HLS does not have the 3hr facility but I have never tested long pauses with HLS. "Live Stream preference" set to "HLS > DASH > MP3 > FlashAAC" (dashflac is gone) - if you make use of pauses/skip back/forward then HLS or MP3 may not be acceptable. I don't use Windows as a main system so over next few days I'll try to boot up a Windows system and test long pauses. I cannot replicate the "wakeup " over LAN. What is the Windows 10 setting that you use to put your system to sleep ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110469 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
