I like Bob Graham also. Nice guy. He is smart and a gentleman. It was a
terrific strategy when he worked all those jobs when he was governor in
order to know something about what other people have to do to survive. I
wish he had done better in the presidential race and would have been a
much better candidate than Kerry was.
I believe, IMHO, that democracy is a sham. It can't work even if the
elections were not rigged because of a system which emasculates one party
as it has done to the Democrats. They might as well not be in congress at
all and then those Democrats who are Republicans in drag don't help either
and a system which keeps out other positions -- is not representative. Of
course what we have is a Republic and I don't consider that a democracy.
If you trust the people democratize information and government .. The
Founders knew what they were doing. They were setting us up for government
by a ruling elite but it is simply incredible how many think this is the
best form of governance. Maybe there is no perfect government but if we
need rules and obviously we do, we also need democracy so everyone's voice
is heard. -- Or we need a benign dictatorship and I want to be that
dictator (grin).
