Ethics and morality are diametrically opposed to religion. The inquistion, the facist mafia gangsterism of the catholic church and the backward anti-scientific position of christian fundementalism are evidence enough that religion is a doctrine of reaction and philistinism.
Even so, philistines have a right to practice their stupidity, but they do not have the right to inflict it upon the wider community. Man's aspiration for a society based on the highest moral and ethical principles cannot be achieved on the basis of ideology or even on the best of intentions as put forward by the founding fathers. it must be based on the rationalization logical distribution of the wealth of the world, eradicating the current system based on man's exploitation of man and the private ownership of the world's resources which belong to all--not to Halliburton, exxon mobile, roi tinto etc. The current crisis is a crisis of the contradictions of a system that is not fit for savages > > What?
