Mark,

Who is spinning here? (Answer: You Are My Friend!!!)

Daniel Ortega is a professed and admitted Marxist/Leninist. Ortega caused a
split in the FLSN, "Sandanista Movement back in the late 1970s because of
his insistence of leading the Sandanistas, (which at one time had the
support of the American government to overthrow Somoza!!!)

Former Sandanista Alfonso Callejas and later to be President (also US
supported) Sandanista Violeta Chamorro broke off from Ortega and his
militant communist buddy, Sergio Mercado in 1979/1980 because of their
communist/Lenninist leanings!!

Do you want to retract the claim you have made about President Reagan being
responsible for the landmines now, or do you want me to embarass you by
printing the facts with the documentation here in this thread, as to who is
responsible for the predominance of laying those landmines??

Either way, it is now the United States government who has financed the
removal of ALL OF THE LANDMINES in Nicaragua, (some 135,000 laid by the
Sandanistas!!!)

Let me know if you want to retract your inaccurate misleading statements,
or if you would prefer that I go ahead and document what it is that I am
talking about!!

In the same vein, what, how and where are you getting that President Reagan
is responsible for 40,000 dead Americans? Do you attribute all heroin
users to President Reagan? Geez, talk about a stretch!! If this is the
case, why can't we attribute them to President Carter? He was funding the
same fields as President Reagan, (again, do you want me to produce the
documentation, or do you want to retract your statements??)

I am surprised, you are usually quite astute, and pretty much on the mark
with historical facts, but you are way off course on this matter, which
again, is surprising considering that you are living in the region!! I
sense that there is some deep hatred for Reagan on your part, that is
unjustified, and clearly, what you wrote above is just flat out inaccurate!!

The predominance of the landmines was laid by the Nicarquan Army, your hero,
