Now why am I not surprised you want to blame conservatives for yet another perceived WRONG?
I will tell you something conservatives do support is tort reform and the LOSER pays system. This would put an end to many of the ridiculously frivolous lawsuits clogging the system today. I sat on a civil jury a few years ago (unusual I was actually picked for a jury considering my profession). A young man was involved in an automobile accident (not his fault) and he was unhappy with the settlement the insurance company offered so he sued. My fellow jurors started out by wanting to give him 35,000 dollars less than the insurance company's offered settlement. Not all jurors are "stick it to the man" idiots!!! I know I will be upset and blame YOU if the price of my delicious bagels and bread from Panera goes up (yet again). LOL I was joking there since proving negligence on the part of Panera would be difficult. You want to go after the deeper pockets of the spinach producers. Good luck proving the link between the colitis and the spinach. Eating raw vegetables *is* considered to be a colitis trigger. Good luck my friend. Of course they'll say it's idiopathic, but whether a jury buys that explanation is another story. While I did have diverticulitis, there' is no family history of such ailments. She's certain the spinach at Panera's caused her condition. I doubt that her colitis can be proven to be caused by the E.coli infection, but she might have legal recourse as far as getting the E.coli from the producer. Then I wonder if all recalled spinach was tested from where it was recalled...but I doubt it. Yet another way these companies can hide from their responsibilities, while these idiot ideologue conservatives cry 'no health care, no regulations'. Yeah let's let the companies kill all of us off and not be held responsible. Very frustrating. -- Thanks for being part of "PoliticalForum" at Google Groups.
