<< Boy, when I hear the words "country" and "soul" in the same sentence, the first person that comes to mind is Buddy Miller. I guess over the last couple years his albums have stayed in my favorites as long as anyones. Tasty! >> Ah yes, another fine example. Although one I'll suggest doesn't quite work as well as I'd hope is what I've heard of Jim Lauderdale's work. A wonderful voice and the boy's got plenty of twang 'n soul in him.
