The first line there which should be a SMTP greeting banner is instead:
220 ********************************************
That matches what I see when telnetting to port 25 on the host implied
by the 'mydomain' parameter in your postconf output and since that's not
what your smtpd_banner setting should yield, this must be external to
your mail server. That is a strong indication that you have something
very similar to a Cisco PIX or ASA firewall with its dysfunctional
"fixup smtp" misfeature enabled, "protecting" that mail server from any
risk of working properly.
Turn that off if you want to run a real mail server.
