Having just suffered my trusty Sony CRT monitor failing, as a temporary measure I plugged the new TFT that came with a Dell into my Mac.
I wasn't expecting much, after all I bought it as a business machine for the office, not to do imaging. But now its running on the Mac it feels kinda nice and I'm confident I can get through the jobs I have this week without worrying.
One thing I have noticed is that the angle you view the screen at is very limited, as the brightness of different areas varies if you move your head around.
It prompted me to look at the specifications at other TFTs.
Where previously I had only considered an Apple or Formac TFT, it now seems some of the more recent products on the market have advanced the level of spec you can expect. But are any of these monitors any good.....
