I just began using the web photo gallery under automate> but I am stumped as to how to:
1. add comments, title, etc to each image

You can't enter comments directly, these are picked up from the various IPTC/XMP (file info) fields. Enter File info using FILE >> FILE INFO.
See http://controlledvocabulary.com/imagedatabases/iptc_naa.html for a PDF chart that maps the IPTC fields in Photoshop to the official IPTC standard.
